Vacation in St. George

We went on a great vacation to St. George August 18 - 21, 2008. My mom and dad booked a condo down there and could only use half of the week, so we were lucky enough to get the other half. Thanks mom & dad!!!! We feel lucky to be only 2 1/2 hours away from this beautiful place.
I loved this beautiful kitchen . . .
and family room . . .
Ashley and I went to the Dinosaur Museum and went shopping while Nate stayed at the condo to watch the football games and swim with the kids.
Our truck and boat in front of the condo.
This was the kids favorite place. Even though the pool wasn't heated they swam in here at least twice a day. Thank goodness we had good weather!
Another view of the pool area and clubhouse.
We took the boat out on Sand Hollow Reservoir. It was the perfect day for boating!
Ashley and Savannah on the boat. Savannah fell asleep for quite a while. There's nothing like the rocking of a boat to put babies asleep.
Wow! I'm wake boarding! I was so excited!
Madi is skiing now! She even crossed the wake a few times!
Ashley and Parker both knee boarded. Nate does it all. I wish we had a picture of him, but it's hard to take a picture when you're driving the boat.
Our sweet little dolly! She loved climbing on the rocks at Snow Canyon.
Madison enjoyed chasing lizards! Yum!
We took the bikes up the canyon and rode them down this nice paved trail.
Nate and I took turns pushing Savannah in the stroller. It was a great day!
Nate and I went to Tuachan and saw Les Miserables. It was amazing! We were lucky to have Emily Buchanan come from Cedar to stay with the kids that night. It was sure fun to see her.
Although our vacation was pretty much perfect, the last night we were there Ashley woke up at 3:00 a.m. crying that her head hurt. Her pain was so bad Nate took her to the emergency room. We found out she had a really bad case of strep throat. Her sinuses were plugged up too. Needless to say, Nate and I only had a few hours of sleep that night.
We always come home exhausted after a vacation. I always feel like they're a lot of work. I'm grateful though for these special times we have to spend together as a family. I know from experience that "The Family that Plays Together Stays Together!"

Wow! Looks like so much fun. The place you stayed looks beautiful. Too bad Ashley got strep, nothing like a bummer for a vacation. I hope the rest of you don't get it. Way to go Madi on the water skiis! The boys will be impressed! Glad you had fun.

Geez, that was a gorgeous place. Nolan and I can't believe how old all the kids look. It's been too long since we've seen you. Cute pictures, I am impressed at all you did, you are such a fun family.
