HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I usually don't do much for this holiday but this year I've had a little more fun getting in to it. It started off by making sugar cookies for Young Women's. I'm the first counselor and it was the Mia Maids turn to plan the activity. We decided to "Heart Attack" the less active girls in our ward and the bishopric. You tape hearts all over their front door, garage, etc. I ended up getting the stomach flu that day so I missed going to the activity but they came to our house and "Heart Attacked" us. Nathan caught them in the act and scared them to death! I made cookies again for my kids to decorate and saved some to decorate myself for the ladies I visit teach. I watched a lady on Studio 5 decorate cookies one day and went to their website for the recipe and inspiration. I was quite happy with how they turned out. If you ever want to try a new sugar cookie and frosting recipe go to their website.

I also decided to make my family heart shaped pancakes for breakfast today. They loved it!

I volunteered to do a game at Madison's class's Valentine's Day Party. We played a fun game where you sit in a circle and whoever is IT goes up to a friend and says, "Honey, Do You Love Me?" The friend has to answer back without smiling, "Yes, I love you, but you can't make me smile." We also played the game, "Puppy, Do you Love Me?" The person who's IT is blindfolded and given a pillow. Everyone sitting in the circle moves to a different chair. IT locates a person with a pillow and sits down on the pillow on their lap. IT asks, "Puppy, do you love me?" The person then has to bark and IT guesses who it is. If IT guesses right, the friend is now IT. If they guess wrong, they have to move on to another person. Apparently the kids liked it because Madi said they played the games again at recess.

After Madison's party I drove over to Parker and Ashley's school to see if I could help with their parties. I was so lucky! I got to help with Parker's and go to lunch with Ashley! It was a fun day! Luckily Nate was home and could tend Savannah for me!

Parker is quite the ladies man! Can you blame them?

Ashley and two of her cute friends.

Ashley got to sit with a bunch of boys at lunch today.

Another crazy outfit.

I sure love my kids!

It was fun seeing the kids with their friends at school. They are all so cute. I can't believe I get to see everyone so soon. I'm excited! My sugar cookies weren't near as fancy. Good job! It's fun you could go to the school and help out with their classes.

Hi Jen, Thanks for the Studio 5 info. Your cookies looked professional and so did your pancakes! Wow! We'll have to try them. Thanks for the cute card. You guys look so happy down there and have made tons of new friends. :) I too helped out in Hud's class V-day party. I miss those fun Holiday's in elementary when i was a kid! I stopped by Parks class but they didn't need my help and he was sooo into the activities he barely paused to say hi. :) It's a blizzard here today so I guess we'll spend it cleaning house so we can relax with a home movie tonight. Have a great day Lee's!
Love the Birt's
