Sunshine for the Soul

Beautiful Island Park, Idaho
Even though snowmobiling in January is snowy and cold, this trip felt warm and sunny to me. We had beautiful blue skies everyday we were there! It felt so good to have the sun shine in my face. We embarked on this 7 hour drive on Thursday, January 15 and returned home around midnight on the 20th. Luckily we stayed in Salt Lake on the way there. The kids always enjoy getting to stay in a hotel and swim. We were up there with our own little family until Sunday and then my brother, Darin and his family came that night. Monday morning my parents came. It was so fun to have them all come. The kids were ready for someone else to entertain them and they love their cousins and grandparents. Dad and mom tended the kids s0 Nate, Darin, Tayna, and I could go on a good ride. We rode to the top of Two Top and had a spectalular view up there. We sang Happy Birthday to our sister Holly while we were up there and sent her a picture of us. We picked up our new four wheeler on the way there and enjoyed getting to ride it around. We love the pool there and went several times. We watched a couple movies, played games, went to church, snowmobiled of course, went tubing, made t-shirts at the clubhouse, and went to Gushers in West Yellowstone. It was a great trip!
My favorite little house at Big Springs.
Darin, Tayna, and Heidi
My cute Dad
Mom & I and our sick little Madi. We were lucky she didn't throw up that night.
Mom and I decided our faces looked too fat in the first picture so we had Darin take our picture several times. It just wasn't getting better! We were laughing so hard my stomach hurt. Mom tried covering her face with a hat and I tried squishing mine together. Do we look any better?!
My mom is actually really skinny right now, it's just the Predizone pills that make her face a little puffy. I'm just plain fat! No excuses for me!

Savannah Bananna and her signature monkey face.
Dog pile on Dad!
Always in the kitchen!
Just hanging out! Ahhh!

Is that Ashley in the snow? Wow! She actually enjoyed playing around and tubing!
Nate and Savannah
Choo Choo!
Mom, Darin, Tayna, Heidi.
We some how packed Savannah swimsuit up on our last day there, so she had to go swimming with just her swim diaper. Her cousin Heidi thought she had a new fashion trend going so she shed her suit too! We're sure glad these two little cousins have each other.
Fun with the cousins in the pool.
All worn out! This summed up our trip. We were tired! Luckily the kids were so good for us on our long ride home. They slept at least half of the way!

Way to get a post up so quick! I love that you can put up so many pictures all at once. I can only figure out how to get 5 up at a time. I LOVE the picture of Heidi and Savannah. What funny cute girls! We had so much fun with you guys. I'm so glad we could be there together. (you're face did not look fat, it was a great laugh though!) I'm so glad you got to go for your Birthday! You deserve it!

What a fun trip! I miss being able to just drive a few hours for a little trip like that. You guys are lucky you still live close enough to drive even though it's a little farther than it used to be. I love all the pictures of the kids. Little Heidi and Savannah and their skinny legs. SO CUTE! I feel like Matthew is actually looking skinny these days. I'm glad you all could be together. Love ya
