Family Vacation: Bear Lake, January 2008

The family on our family vacation in Bear Lake.
Nathan at the big sledding hill in the sinks. We had so much fun here.
Mom, Dad, Ashley, Nolan, and Thomas came up the last day we were there. Mom brought my favorite chocolate cake to celebrate my birthday. It was sure fun to have them there for that.
Madi with cousin Dawson in the condo.
Parker, Madi, Ashley, Savannah, and Dawson. They loved the hot tub even though it was

105 degrees.

Beautiful! Ha! Ha! Little 13 month old Savannah even braved the cold for about three hours. She was just glad to get out of the condo for a while I think. She was a happy little girl despite the fact she had messy diapers every half hour and a sore little bum.

We had the great opportunity to go to Bear Lake this January. Dad and Mom had gotten a week at their time-share and let us use five days of it! Thanks Dad and Mom! We had a great time! Brian, Tori, and Dawson got to come with us the first night. We also invited our friends, Jeff and Amy Hancock and their kids to come another night. We snowmobiled, went tubing, hot tubing, watched movies, played the Wii, played other games, and just relaxed! We went to church while we were there and it was a momentus occasion for Bear Lake. We attended the first week of the Bear Lake 2nd ward. We drove to Montipelliar and around the Lake. We saw hundreds of deer. Dad, Mom, Nolan, Ashley, and Thomas came up the last day we were there. Mom tended all the kids while the rest of us went for a snowmobile ride. We had a great time. The kids loved the condo and enjoyed sleeping on the bunkbeds. They had fun playing on the playground, even in the snow. We even got to celebrate my birthday while we were there. It was a great time with our friends and family.

Parker - our little snowmobile dude! Nathan is raising him to love snowmobiling just as much or more than he does. He got him this fancy outfit and a little toy snowmobile for Christmas. Parker doesn't like to ride with mom, he thinks she's boring. He likes to go with dad because he gets off the trail and climbs mountains and jumps.
Little Ashley. It's a rare occasion to see her out in the snow. She prefers the summer, but she had a great time sledding. She amazed us at how fearless she was. She'd lay flat down in her sled and go, and go, and go. She had no idea where she was going or what she'd run in to. She preferred walking back up the hill instead of getting a ride on the snowmobile. Kids are all so different. Ashley especially enjoyed the hot tub and playing the Wii on this trip.
Madi Mouse loved tubing and snowmobiling except our ride one day was extremly cold. We can tell Madi is growing up. She especially enjoyed having Dawson and her friend Katelynn come to play. She went up and down the hill at least 30 times that one afternoon. Her and Katelynn were like the energizer bunny.

It's not until I see pictures like this that I realize why Holly would always call us when we had family things going on, so she could feel apart of it. I miss being able to just drive up to Bear Lake or Park City for a weekend and get to see the family. It looked like it was such a fun time. Cute pictures. I hope Savannah is doing better. Talk to you soon.

I just made another quilt, it is so easy, I'll have to show you. The kids are out of school again. We've had so many snow days. Thank heaven for the wii!! When you order MaryKay again, let me know, I think I could get together a big order, I am using up my stock pile. Good job on blogging!
